Meridian Technology Group is seeking a Managing Director.


Our membership-driven, non-profit client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Managing Director to lead the organization toward achieving its objectives.
Our client is a national non-profit organization whose mission is to promote amateur national and international sporting contests and competitions, and they are the leader in the field.


Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Managing Director will:

  • Oversee the company's budget, financial performance, and resource allocation to ensure growth and profitability.
  • Mentor and manage a small team across all business functions.
  • Develop and execute the organization's strategic plan, including growth objectives, member expansion, and enhancement of service offerings.
  • Foster and maintain strong member relationships to ensure high satisfaction and retention, ultimately driving the organization's success.
  • Ensure the organization's operations adhere to relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors on the organization's performance, achievements, and strategic initiatives.
  • Occasionally act as a public speaker and public relations representative to promote the sport.

The successful candidate will have:
  • An understanding of corporate finance and performance measures, including budgeting, planning, and cost-benefit analysis
  • The ability to coach staff, manage high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage budgets.
  • Past success working with a Board of Directors and managing a non-profit membership-based organization.
  • Proven leadership, financial and public relations management experience, strong mediation skills, and a track record of growing a successful organization
  • The ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with members, sponsors, and the Board of Directors, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people, are essential.
  • The ability to be self-directed and work with limited guidance.

The following qualifications are desirable:
  • BS/BA in business administration or relevant field; MS/MA will be preferred
  • Experience developing and implementing membership growth strategies
  • Experience leveraging social media, trade shows, public relations, and other media to promote and grow an organization

The position is fully remote and may require travel, including international travel.
