Job Description
Meridian Technology Group is seeking a JIRA Administrator/Engineer.
We are looking for an experienced Jira Administrator/Engineer who will deliver the resources necessary to get division setup and running on Jira Service Management.
In this role, the consultant will have background in software development and business analysis to help capture and digitize business processes.
The candidate must have expertise in installing and configuring JIRA Service Management, as well as, being an outstanding communicator, diligent planner, determined and ambitious in solving business problems and delivering business services and support.
Tasks & Responsibilities
- Identify HHS business requirements for JIRA service management setup and configuration
- Work with subject-matter experts from HHS to understand their internal processes and translate them to Jira projects
- Translate business needs into solutions in the Atlassian tools
- Evaluating Atlassian products
- License procurement and management
- Jira Service Management Implementation (multi-tenant for the ability to add other departments)
- Jira Service Management installation and configuration
- Implement/create projects, workflows, automations, permissions, notifications, dashboards, filters, reports, etc.
- Develop complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission scheme and notification schemes in JIRA.
- Integrate Jira projects with different data sources and reporting tools/mechanisms, using different technologies (Power BI, Active Directory)
- Training and knowledge transfer to different business and technical stakeholders on different aspects of Jira projects and integrations
- Onboarding users and teams
- Go live production support
- Hands-on experience with installing and configuring, creating, and managing Jira projects
- Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom forms, and attributes
- Practical experience with Agile development practices including Scrum and Kanban
- Familiar with ITIL or other ITSM concepts and best practice guidance
- Industry certifications and memberships are a plus
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skill
- Excellent documentation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, ability to work with all levels of employees in an organization and understand the needs of stakeholders in various business units
- 5 years of experience with Atlassian JIRA and Confluence including tool administration and customization
- Experience creating JIRA templates, custom issues and workflows, custom forms, and attributes
- Experience in using/extending REST Services provided by Atlassian.
This position is located in Salem, OR. Consultants should reside in the area or indicate the reason they are willing/seeking to relocate. Also, interested Consultants must indicate they are willing to relocate at their own expense as this position does not offer relocation assistance.
