IT Project Manager
Job Description
Meridian Technology Group is seeking an IT Project Manager.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the coordination and completion of projects within the information technology department. Oversees all aspects of the project.
- Sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors and summarizes progress of project.
- Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
- Prepares reports for upper management regarding status of project.
- May require a bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Must have a strong experience in working on securing funding, building business case, defining planned value/benefit realization and effectively driving the project.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of Energy and utilities. Experience with Oracle fusion for project management and budgeting.

- Utilities experience not required, but compliance/regulatory background or working on projects that required to meet regulatory requirements

- Strong facilitator, knowledge of working with project management tools. Working knowledge and understanding of all phases of the project.
- Business case and benefits development.
- Budget management and reporting

- No certification requirement, but please produce samples (Data masked as required) of the work you have done in the past.
Team and Work Environment
- Team size of 9 individuals comprised of Compliance Analysts, Business Analyst, Release Manager and Java Developer.
- Implementation of multiple projects: (1) EnergyCAP solution (Facilities billing and management solution), (2) Maintenance requests/Inventory management solutions in Compliance platform (DevonWay) (3) Internal Audit/SOX solutions (DevonWay).
- “A day in the life” of this role: Stakeholder engagement, budget management, status reporting, progressing elaborating the project plan.
- Interaction level with this role have the team members and hiring manager: Heavy interaction with team members primarily FTE BSA as well as the hiring manager in building a business case, performing cost-benefit analysis and seeking capital funds for the project.
- The top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months: Understand the standard process, tools and technology available to manage the projects. Quickly pick up all aspect of the required documentation.
- The biggest challenge in this role: Understanding and learning the tool. Working with non-IT individuals to confirm requirements.
