Meridian Technology Group is seeking a Business Analyst.


Description:

  • Business Analyst support for client’s Digital Channels. Including Mobile, the Public Facing portion of their Website.
  • Support includes both project and production support work.

Required Skills 5+ years experience:
  • Utilities experience is required

Top 3 Must-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills):
  • 1. Experience as a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA)
  • 2. Web Site BSA experience
  • 3. Ability to self-direct once onboarded

Top 3 Nice-To-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills)
  • 1. Mobile App BSA experience
  • 2. Jira
  • 3. Confluence

Education Requirements (Experience in Lieu of Degree):
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, management information systems, or a related field is typically required.

Certification Requirements (Any Preferences):
  • Nice to have Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Agile Analysis Certification (IIBA-AAC), Project Management Professional (PMP)

Description:
  • “A day in the life” of this role: Mornings are usually reserved for agile ceremonies such as daily standup, product demos, and Storytime. Individual products will have their own meetings to follow up on requirements or socializing changes to stake holders.
  • In the afternoons, time is spent on answering developer and QA questions, writing stories and other project artifacts like process flows and functional designs. There might be additional workshops or requirements sessions with on-shore resources.
  • After getting started on projects, a lot of self-direction and motivation is desired. It’s expected to reach out to whomever is needed to answer questions and get roadblocks removed. The BA is embedded into an agile development team with close collaboration with Product Owners, Devs, and QA. Moderate interaction with Customer/Business Partner, and more distant interaction with hiring manager.
  • The top priority over the first few weeks/months: Come up to speed on Digital Channel architecture, Features, and start to become familiar with Basic C2M functionality. Learn about the current in-flight projects to take over/support the dev teams working on those projects.
  • The biggest challenge in this role: Learning the system architecture and controlling scope

Location is Portland, OR. Position is Fully Remote. Consultants should reside in the area.
