Job Description
Meridian Technology Group is seeking a Business Analyst.
Job Description:
- Requires a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, management or other related field or equivalent experience.
- Senior resource with business process analysis experience in an IT organization
- Experience architecting process changes to remedy gaps and obtain efficiencies
- Experience implementing process improvement changes in an organization, including making recommendations at a management level
- Experience architecting process changes to remedy gaps and obtain efficiencies
- Identify KPIs, performance metrics, and process management methods
- Produce process maps, procedures, metrics and management documentation in approved format
- Experience implementing process improvement changes in an organization, including making recommendations at a management level
- Builds and maintains working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.
- May require a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
- A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
- Must have a strong experience in working on securing funding, building business case, defining planned value/benefit realization and effectively driving the engagement with stakeholders and SMEs.
Must Have:
- Strong IT business analysis and stakeholder management with working knowledge of all aspects business analysis, testing and validation
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of Energy and utilities.
- Experience with JIRA or similar tools.
- Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification.
In this role:
- Work with a Team of 9 individuals comprised of Compliance Analysts, Business Analyst, Release Manager and Java Developer.
- Implementation of multiple projects: (1) EnergyCAP solution (Facilities billing and management solution), (2) Maintenance requests/Inventory management solutions in Compliance platform (3) Internal Audit/SOX solutions.
- “A day in the life” of this role: In addition to working in the capacity of a business analyst, also understand the DevonWay platform and its compliance functions to help support our business partners.
- Interaction level with this role will have the team members and hiring manager: Heavy interaction with team members primarily FTE BSA as well as the hiring manager in building a business case, gathering requirements, performing cost-benefit analysis.
- The top priority for the worker over the first few weeks/months: Validate and finalize requirements. learn about the modules within DevonWay.
- The biggest challenge in this role: Understanding and learning the tool. Working with non-IT individuals to confirm requirements.
